Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of BidChale, an online bidding marketplace operated in Ghana. By creating an account, placing a bid, listing an item, or otherwise using BidChale, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding contract to use BidChale, whether as a bidder or as a vendor. By using the platform you confirm that you meet this requirement.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide when registering, and for keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.

• Placing a bid is a binding commitment to purchase the item at that price if you win.
• Bids cannot be withdrawn or retracted once placed.
• Some lots carry a reserve price set by the vendor. If the highest bid does not meet the reserve, the vendor is not obligated to sell the lot.
• Vendors may not bid on their own lots, and no user may use multiple accounts to artificially inflate bids on any lot (shill bidding). We may cancel bids, suspend accounts, or void a sale where this is suspected.

BidChale charges a platform service fee to bidders of 2% of the winning bid, capped at GHS 3.00 per item, added at checkout. Vendors receive their payout net of a platform commission of 3% of the winning bid, capped at GHS 15.00 per item. Fees are disclosed before you confirm a purchase or list an item, and are subject to change with notice.

Payment for won lots is collected through our payment processor, Moolre, via mobile money (MTN, Telecel, or AirtelTigo), in Ghana Cedis (GHS). We do not store your mobile money PIN or one-time passwords — these are handled entirely by Moolre and your mobile network operator.

Winning bidders must complete payment for won lots within a reasonable time. We may suspend your account or cancel a win if payment is not completed.

After payment, you may collect your item by pickup from the vendor, or request delivery. Delivery is arranged through a third-party courier; the final delivery cost is confirmed with you before dispatch and is separate from the item price and platform fee.

• Listings and photos must accurately describe the item's condition.
• Any reserve price must be disclosed as required by the platform's listing tools.
• Vendors must fulfill won lots promptly once payment is confirmed.
• Vendor payouts are released to the mobile money account on file after a bidder's payment is confirmed, net of the platform commission described in Section 5.

Refund eligibility is governed by our Refund Policy. Disputes between a bidder and a vendor over an item's condition should first be raised with us through the contact details below so we can help resolve them.

• Listing counterfeit, stolen, or prohibited goods.
• Manipulating bids, using multiple accounts, or colluding to affect a lot's price.
• Attempting to circumvent platform fees by transacting off-platform after a match is made here.
• Interfering with the operation of the platform or its payment or delivery integrations.

We may suspend or terminate your access to BidChale if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if required by law.

BidChale provides the marketplace connecting bidders and vendors but is not the seller of record for vendor-listed items. To the fullest extent permitted by law, BidChale is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the platform, beyond amounts covered under our Refund Policy.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of BidChale after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana.
